Brisbane’s The Met nightclub is for sale.
The Met opened in November 2006 and has hosted electronic dance music acts including Propellerheads, Skrillex, Hardwell and Steve Aoki.
Skrillex: Played The Met in March, 2012. Biggest. Night. Ever.Owner Trent Meade said, “It is the right time to exit with the business extremely profitable, and still offering enormous upside for the next operator.” Mr Meade and Matt Blythe also own The GPO Hotel in Fortitude Valley, and are selling to move into the food-and-beverage market, with a new CBD venue opening next year.
It is believed the venue last changed hands for upwards of $3,000,000. Expressions of interest for the close 22 November, unless sold prior.
Propellerheads opened The Met in 2006. We don't think Shirley Bassey was with them.
