A cult favourite in his homeland of South Africa, electronic parody artist The Kiffness will make his Australian live debut next week.
The project of musician-producer-activist David Scott, The Kiffness has become a global viral sensation thanks to his numerous parody videos and internet collaborations with various animals and people.
Set to offer local fans a potent blend of humour and music folks of all ages will be able to enjoy, The Kiffness will headline concerts in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The Kiffness' collection of songs includes 'It's A Beautiful Day (Reprise), 'Please Go Away' (from his 'Cat Jams' EP), and a cover of military cadence song 'I Left My Home', plus remixes of Nathan Evans' 'Kellerman - Sea Shanty', and the traditional Finnish polka tune 'Ievan Polkka'.
"After touring the globe for over three years, I finally koala-fied for an Australia tour! Can't wait to make animal noises with you dingbats on the Outback tour," shares David.
Seems he's also eager to make the most of his time down under judging from this bucket list he sent us. . . although not sure about his last bucket list item; it seems the Wallabies have rediscovered their form from the late '90s in 2025!
• Meet the koala that I wrote a drum & bass track with – maybe if I'm lucky we can even perform the song live together
• Record a song inside the pouch of a moving kangaroo, kind of like Carpool Karaoke but Australian style
• I've been nursing a violin spider bite for the last month and it's not nice; my ultimate bucket list item is to not get bitten by an Australian spider, otherwise I might kick the bucket
• Whack a shrimp on the barbie and see how it compares to a South African braai
• Watch the Springboks beat the Wallabies in a bar full of Wallabies supporters
