With 200-plus stalls, there’ll be no losers or weepers in Adelaide this August when the hugely popular Finders Keepers Market makes its South Australian debut.
Featuring a diverse selection of emerging designers, artists, and live musicians as well as a range of food trucks to suit any gourmet palette, the Finders Keepers Market has become a cultural staple in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Finders Keepers co-founder, Brooke Johnston says she is looking forward to finally being able to bring the markets to South Australia and finding out for herself what Adelaide creative professionals are producing.
“The design community in Adelaide have been super keen for us to head that way since we launched, so we’re incredibly excited to be able to host our inaugural event in South Australia,” she says.
“We can’t wait to see what new and unique items the creative makers of Adelaide bring to our new annual event, and we’re sure that shoppers will be immensely impressed at what’s on offer.”
The markets will take up residence in the Jubilee Pavilion of Adelaide Showgrounds, where visitors can check out innovative fashion, hand-crafted sculptures and ceramics, leather goods, candles, custom stationery and so much more.
For local designers and creatives hoping to kick-start their career, Finders Keepers presents a ground-level opportunity to exhibit and sell their wares. Communications and Sponsorship Manager for the event, Angela D’alton says Finders Keepers is also a great chance for fledgling designers to network, and build their brand in a market with a reputation as the best for designers launching their labels.
“We provide a limited number of debut spaces to fledgling artists and designers who’d like to road test their products with the public or are keen to enlist their business into the exciting world of Finders Keepers,” she says.
Applications are now open for stallholders who produce original and creative work, independent designs, or high quality products of a handmade nature.
