Youngcare’s annual ‘Tales from the Road’ event is back, offering a backstage pass to the wild and wonderful world of some of Australia’s favourite local artists.
Beloved presenter, ex-Triple J host and TV extraordinaire Myf Warhurst will interview a line-up of Aussie music legends to share stories, songs and antics from their time touring the world, including:
• Sam Cromack (Ball Park Music)
• Murray Cook (The Wiggles, The Soul Movers)
• Ian Haug (Powderfinger, The Church)
• Hope Defteros (Hope D)
• Patience Hodgson (The Grates).
Helping behind the scenes will be Powderfinger bass guitarist, Member of the Order of Australia, music legend and Fortitude Music Hall owner JC Collins — a long-time supporter of Youngcare and its cause.
Myf said, "I had the pleasure of participating in last year's 'Tales from the Road,' [read last year's article here] and it was a truly enjoyable day. I'm delighted to be part of it again, supporting Youngcare's incredible mission."
John Collins said, "I am honoured that the Fortitude Music Hall can help a cause such as Youngcare. My involvement with Youngcare spans many years, and this event is one of my favourite events of the year. It also provides another opportunity for me to support this extraordinary organisation committed to creating a more inclusive community for all".
All funds raised through ticket sales will go to Youngcare, helping provide Specialist Disability Accommodation, at home care grants, and an array of support and advocacy services.
Ticket sales close on Friday 19 July and can be purchased at Tales From The Road 2024
