After multiple postponements and other dates pushed to 2021, Supanova organisers have had to pull the pin on the Sydney convention.
Sydney's event had last been postponed to December and other states to next year, but restrictions in Sydney are not projected to lift in time for the event to proceed. It's the first time in the event's 18 years of operation they have needed to cancel.
"To say that we are disappointed would be an understatement. There was nothing we wanted more than to close out the year celebrating our love of all things fandom with you, our Supa-Fans," Supanova says.
"While this closes the book on our in-person events for the year, this gives us all the more time to work on making our 2021 return something truly spectacular!
"From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all of our fans, exhibitors and sponsors for your continued support in what has been a rollercoaster of a year for the events industry. Until next time!"
