Same-Sex Marriage Now Legal In USA

The White House changed its Facebook Profile Picture today.
Founder and Publisher. Based in Brisbane.
Howard started Scene Magazine in 1993. Paul Keating was Prime Minister. Whitney, Janet and Mariah all had Aussie #1s and Mark Zuckerberg was 9. Over 30 years he's overseen the growth of scenestr magazine to become Australia's largest – and only national – street press while forging a digital-first imperative for the title in the mid-naughties. He's judged more battle of the bands than he cares to remember and proud of the myriad media partnerships the company has earned across the music, arts and comedy sectors. He likes Star Trek and a good Oxford Comma – way too much fun at parties.

The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that The Constitution guarantees marriage equality — that same-sex couples can marry.

Following the closest of margins ruling (5-4), The White House changed its Facebook Profile Picture to a multi-coloured house — a move 'liked' by a quarter of a million people within hours of the update — including Mr Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg.

The ruling comes five weeks after the people of Ireland voted in favour of changing their country's Constitution to recognise same-sex marriage, making marriage between two people legal irrespective of the gender of the partners to the marriage.

Immediately following the ruling, President Obama made a statement in which he said "Our nation was founded on a bedrock principle: that we are all created equal." Mr Obama said the ruling guarantees the end of the patchwork system that exists... to end the uncertainty hundreds of thousands of same-couples face, not knowing whether marriage — legitimate in the eyes of one state — will remain if they decide to move [to] or even visit another.
