Popular Perth radio host, Shane McFarlane, has died following complications from complications from ongoing gastric issues.


The McFarlane co-hosted Perth's Mix 94.5 breakfast show with Dean Clairs and Kymba Cahill. He'd been on leave since September. The station made this announcement on Facebook today:
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our beloved Shane McFarlane has passed away due to complications from ongoing gastric issues.

Shane has been part of the mix94.5 family for 14 years and will leave an enormous hole in our hearts and on our airwaves.

We extend our deepest sympathy to his family and friends and welcome your messages of support and love.

Rest in Peace Shane. We will miss you mate.
