Grab your favourite ginger pal and boogie your way to the Sunshine Coast for the third annual Buderim Ginger Pride Rally.
Last year, the rally attracted almost 1,500 redheads and organisers are hoping 2018 will be their biggest year yet. The rally will be held at The Ginger Factory in Yandina (6 October) and will feature a march plus a host of ginger-themed stalls, competitions and activities.
The Ginger Factory is, of course, the home of Buderim Ginger the self-proclaimed 'gingeriest place on earth'.
Entertainment will be provided by Brisbane band Blues Arcadia, while Buderim Ginger will provide the goods, supplying a Buderim Ginger Energy Rehydration Station and a 'ginger garden' serving Buderim Ginger Beer.
The fun won't be over there, with ginger beer pong, a ginger pride photo booth and the hotly-anticipated ginger jelly eating competition.
As always, the rally is closely tied to the anti-bullying cause and the Ginger Rally will soon announce their 2018 charity partnership. Andrew Bond, CEO of the Buderim Group, says the event celebrates “uniqueness in the community and everything that’s great about gingers.
“I’m so excited to get behind this event and its support for the anti-bullying message,” Andrew says.
