Open up your Instagram account and you'll probably see a new addition to the interface at the top of the app.
The photo-sharing geniuses have introduced Stories, and it's pretty much exactly the same as Snapchat's Stories feature.
The avatar on your profile will now be able to be clicked on by followers (and random people, if you so desire) and they'll see photos and videos you choose to share with them.
They run for a certain amount of seconds, and you can add text and drawings over the top, as well as filters.
There's also different options when it comes to drawing over your picture or video, including a cool glowing texta-like option.
Snapchat recently turned down a $3 billon offer from Facebook, which explains a lot, because Instagram was bought by Facebook in 2012. We smell competition.
As much as Stories is pretty much a clone of an already existent feature in an already wildly popular app, the millennials of the world are most likely just happy that there's a new place to share selfies. #slay
Now stop reading, and get to storytelling!
