A swamp wallaby was spotted loose on Sydney Harbour Bridge

We're pretty certain your morning commute to work wasn't as hair-raising as this poor swamp wallaby, who made a wrong turn somewhere between the bush and the Sydney Harbour Bridge this morning.

The plucky macropod was followed by NSW police with a trail of early-morning motorists before finally being cornered a short time later.

The little guy was eventually taken to Taronga Wildlfie Hospital for a check-up. Luckily, aside from a few minor grazes no major injuries were reported.

Maybe old Swampie was looking for a feed like this seagull caught stealing a bag of Doritos.
