NBA Legend Carmelo Anthony To Share His Basketball Expertise With Australian Fans

Carmelo Anthony is headed to Australia in April for speaking events in Sydney and Melbourne.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

One of the all-time greatest scorers in NBA history and a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, Carmelo 'Melo' Anthony is headed to Australia for his first ever speaking events.

The ten-time NBA All-Star and three-time Olympic gold medalist for Team USA, Melo will entertain fans with stories from his illustrious 20-year playing career, where he played for six teams (most notably Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks).

Melo also won the 2003 NCAA tournament with Syracuse University, his only season of college basketball (and Syracuse's only NCAA tournament championship).

"I'm excited to finally come down under and meet all my Aussie fan," Melo says, who was the 2013 NBA scoring champion and made the NBA All-Rookie first team in 2004.

These two speaking events will take place at the Timberyard in Melbourne and the prestigious Doltone House in Sydney in April. Both venues are beautiful, yet relaxed auditoriums that will provide an unforgettable experience.

"Ushering in this next generation of talent and growing the game of basketball globally," adds Melo, "are important to me and this tour is a great opportunity for me to share my expertise and love for the game in a new way."

Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 25 January.
