How heartless can a parking inspector be?
Well not one, but two Sydney rangers have issued parking fines to a car parked in Surry Hills — apparently the owner of the car had suffered a heart attack and lay recovering in a hospital bed.
According to News.com.au a handwritten note posted on the windscreen of the Subaru detailed the condition of the car’s owner was found yesterday: ‘The owner of this car had a heart attack in Sunday & has not yet returned. Please can you show some compassion and let him off for a few days.’

The Sydney City Council have responded by saying there was no note asking for “compassion”.
“If medical evidence is produced to support the claims made in the note, then the City will look at withdrawing the infringement notice, but the onus is on the driver, or someone on their behalf, to contact the City,” the council spokeswoman told news.com.au
“On both occasions the rangers have taken photos of the vehicle that clearly show that there was no note on the windscreen at the time.”

The search is still on for the owner of the Subaru and as well as the person who posted the handwritten note.
