Australia is set to receive a new national queer magazine from next week in the form of FROOTY!
FROOTY will be delivered to queer-friendly cafes, arts hubs, clinics, shops and more around Australia. It'll be published by Eyeball Media Enterprises, the same company which publishes scenestr magazines and this website.
FROOTY's editor, Jesse Chaffey, says, "we're thrilled to be filling the void for a unified queer voice at a time when publishing and media is facing so many challenges".
FROOTY originated in 2017 as an online-only portal but with the recent news that the iconic Star Observer publication has entered administration the decision was made to develop the FROOTY brand to include a print version. 15,000 copies of the inaugural issue featuring Montaigne on the cover will be distributed from next week.
