Fed Square will be 10 years old this year and, to mark the monumental transition into double-digits, there's going to be a party. Stonefield and Animaux are the hired entertainment. We wish our 10th birthday was this awesome.
From October 25 - 28, there'll be a bunch of free goings-on to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the Melbourne landmark. And you know what's better than free stuff? That's right. Nothing.Events will include Tai Chi, Fed Square Behind the Scenes Tours, Late Night art gallery openings and more.
Fed Square Turns 10 will branch out to other venues, with workshops at Kirra Galleries, ACMI and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. The main event will be a birthday concert from 10am to 10pm on Saturday, October 27, with Melbourne party outfit Animaux and Triple J Unearthed High winners Stonefield taking the stage in the afternoon.
This will be the only all-ages show all year for the Stonefield girls. There'll even be a Big Screen Gaming session, where you can play out your old favourites and some new releases all night. Mortal Kombat, anyone?
The only slot with a price tag on it so far is the Fed Square Microbreweries Showcase. $25 will get you 4 hours of beer "tasting" (we'll go along with that one), which seems like a pretty solid deal to us.
Fed Square Turns 10 will take place from October 25 - 28.
