Are the Depps taking the piss? Or are they now fully schooled in, and respectful of, Australia's quarantine regulations?
Today Amber Heard (wife of Johnny) pleaded guilty to falsifying quarantine documents in bringing her two Yorkshire Terriers to Australia last year. This video was also played in court – which now hours later is as viral as an undeclared pest.
When it all went down last year, the politician at the forefont of the defence of Australia's quarantine laws was (unfortunately?) Barnaby Joyce, making the issue (seem) a slam dunk to spin the story – particularly on gen y, z whatever media – as 'stoopid, crazy Australian (conservative) politician gets waaaay too serious over Pistol and Boo (the dogs)' infiltration into our beautiful sun-drenched country.
Nevertheless, a guilty rap is a guilty rap and it's gonna be pretty difficult for any self-respecting, green-identifying, pro-conservation, enviro-lover (shouldn't we all be?) to mount a defence for the Depps – even if you do think Joyce is an arse hat. That won't won't stop some giving it a red hot go, though.
So what's going on with this deadpan, hostage in hotel room, emotion-free statement to camera. Is it srs or are they putting the urine in quarantine?
