Decks For Change is a charity-focussed design competition helping to shed light on important issues in our communities that need to be brought out from under the rug and into people's faces to create a conversation leading to positive change.
Giving exposure to graphic designers, illustrators and artists while shedding light on important issues in our communities that need to be brought out from under the rug and into people's faces to create a conversation leading to positive change.

The brief is to design a graphic for a skate deck that comments on a particular issue close to the artist's heart – an issue they feel needs exposure. The competition is global, so anyone, anywhere can enter their work.
Founded by Kirby Clark, the idea was born from the deeply ingrained need to use two passions and communities close to her heart – skateboarding and design – to inspire positive change on current social, political and environmental issues.
The top 20 designs, as chosen by a panel of judges, will be manufactured and exhibited in gallery spaces across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Each deck will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to Skateistan, an organisation that empowers youth in developing countries through skateboarding by connecting them with education and opportunity.
