Boundary Street Markets Aim For The Heart Of West End

Boundary Street Markets
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

I think we can all agree that the Davies Park Markets (formerly known as the West End Community Markets) are pretty great, but they're also kind of out of the way — which is why the new Boundary Street Markets are aiming for the beating heart of West End.

Housed on the historic site of the old Peter's Icecream Factory (now the Absoe site) on the corner of Boundary & Mollison Streets, the Boundary Street Markets will gather together over 100 growers, food producers, local artisans and designers. The City Glider bus stops right outside the door, or you could just walk (or even drive).

From 7am-2pm every Saturday and Sunday from November 16, passionate traders will present their finest products — everything from art and antichokes to zebra statues and zippy bags — in a bustling market that extends across the site's carparks and buildings.

You'll be able to source the freshest fruit & veg, buy unique gifts, or grab a fresh roasted coffee in an environment that promises to be true to West End's community vibe.

Expect everything from local fresh and exotic growers and producers, including farm fresh produce, organics, herbs, flowers, bread, pastry, honey, seafood, meat, cakes, eggs, spices, teas, coffee, yoghurt, nuts, oils, deli, juices, ice cream, muesli, pate, antipasto, candy, gelato, popcorn and gluten free goodies.

There'll also be homewares, eco products, jewellery, fashion, retro, handmade, antique traders, vintage, upcycled, recycled, knitters, stationery, kids style, tea makers, clothing, bohemian style, silversmiths, art, pottery, candles, body products, ink and more.
