Thanks to Bicycle Queensland, cyclists will be able to swap their bike seats for movie seats at one of two free film nights during next month’s Bike Week, which runs from Saturday 16 March to Sunday 24 March.
The film nights include the screening of Janapar: Love, On A Bike will screen at Indooroopilly’s Eldorado Cinema at 6.30pm on Friday 22 March. Along with the screening of Reveal the Path, mountain bikers can also get their fix of dirt and daring downhills at the Epic Cycles on Baroona Rd, Paddington at 7.00pm on Thursday, 21 March.
Bicycle Queensland manager Ben Wilson, says Bike Week aims to encourage more people to cycle more often. “The theme for Bike Week 2013 ‘Eat. Sleep. Ride. Repeat’ really sums it up – jump on whatever bike you have and ride whenever you can."
Events planned during the week include a women’s ride, bike orienteering, mountain bike skills for beginners, a film night and the SCODY Ride to Work Day. The week ends with the BDO Brisbane Coot-tha Challenge, the Great Brisbane Bike Ride and the Family Fun Ride.
