It's that time of year again, Ben & Jerry's annual Free Cone Day. A time where Aussies take an extended lunch break to go to their nearest Ben & Jerry's store and grab a free sweet treat on 9 April.
Last year, the hard working Ben & Jerry's teams shovelled out 108,620 scoops across Australia, a record that is sure to be beat again this year.
With a plethora of flavours to choose from, fans are going to be spoilt for options. There is everything from crowd favourites such as Phish Food, Non-Dairy and light ice cream options including Mocha Fudge Brownie.
The Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day originated in America in 1979 as a way of thanking consumers for their support. The tradition still continues strong as CEO Matthew McCarthy says, “We’re nothing without our fans.”
