Aussie Music Retailer Makes Noise For Hearing Impaired

Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Award-winning retailer Barry Bull will use his powers for a super cause, raising money for Hear and Say, an organisation providing technology for hearing disabilities.

Barry, a musician, author and motivational speaker, was the proud owner and retailer of Toombul Music, an iconic music store that was right in the spotlight of the Australian music industry. He has gone on to win multiple awards, release books and music, and speak at keynote events.

His grandson Archer was born with a serious hearing impairment, and Hear and Say were able to provide him with a cochlear implant. Since then, his hearing, learning and speaking future has brightened.

Loud Shirt Day is asking everyone to show up at the Mooloolaba Surf Club wearing their loudest, craziest shirt for a day of fun, live music and some inspirational stories to get the feels going. It's all for a great cause, and could help out in improving the lives of thousands of bright young kids.

Get down to the Surf Club and take a step to being the change you want to see in the world!

Loud Shirt Day takes place at Mooloolaba Surf Club on 28 August from 2pm.
