Wikileaks founder Julian Assange will be presenting a Special Keynote speech at the University of Sydney on Thursday June 13.
Assange will address a small public audience including conference delegates via live video link from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London.
The speech is a part of the International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA2013) – a three day conference featuring speakers and global leaders in the fields of art, science, technology, media and communications, focussing on the theme: 'Resistance Is Futile'.
The ISEA2013 program investigates new ways in which art and technologies are utilised in the service of power, protest and resistance. Wikileaks is a prime example of a medium embracing new technologies and exploiting the ubiquity of digitised information.
A limited number of tickets will be made available to the general public through the ISEA2013 website on Monday May 20.
