Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

The holidays are coming early this year – with a ‘sweet Christmas’ on the way for Brisbane and Adelaide Supa-Fans as Marvel superstar Mike Colter leads the first wave of celebrity guests.

Best-known for the award-nominated role as Luke Cage in ‘Jessica Jones’ and reprised in ‘The Defenders’ and his own titular series, Mike quickly became a fan favourite for his portrayal of Harlem’s unbreakable hero. Since then, he’s been seen in ‘Evil’, ‘Halo: Nightfall’ and ‘American Horror Story’.

From across the pond – or River – is Supanova alumna Alex Kingston, marking her first appearance with the convention since 2013. Whovians will recognise Alex as The Doctor’s time-travelling companion River Song in ‘Doctor Who’. DC fans may know her as Dinah Lance in The CW’s ‘Arrow’.

Chandler Riggs – Carl Grimes in ‘The Walking Dead’ – will also be in attendance. Since exiting the AMC programme after an eight-year tenure, Riggs has starred in ‘A Million Little Things’ and will appear at Supanova alongside ‘The 100’’s Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley, as well as ‘Merlin’ and ‘La Brea’’s Eoin Macken.

Meanwhile, lovers of big screen action won’t want to miss ‘Flash Gordon’’s Sam J. Jones, easily recognisable as the titular hero of the 1980 cult classic. Sam is joined by Neil Fanning, aka the voice of Scooby Doo in the 2000s film series.

Local legends John Jarratt and Lincoln Lewis join the fun after starring together in ‘The Possessed’, and anime fans should be sure to catch international voice actors Elizabeth Maxwell and Jason Liebrecht, both having countless credits to their names.

Fans will also have the opportunity to meet industry power couple Arthur Adams and Joyce Chin, who have provided cover and interior work on countless titles for Marvel and DC. They’re joined by local artists Anthony Christou and Shaun Keenan, with more to be announced.

Supanova Comic Con & Gaming takes place at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on 5-6 November and Adelaide Showground on 12-13 November.
