All I Want For Christmas Is... An Awkward Christmas Portrait

National Arts and Comedy Editor. Based in Melbourne.
Pop culture, pop music and gaming are three of Jesse’s biggest passions. Lady Gaga, Real Housewives and The Sims can almost sum him up – but he also adores a night at the cinema or a trip to the theatre.

Nothing says 'Merry Christmas' like an awkward family photo.

Melbourne Central is embracing those cringe-worthy masterpieces your relatives pretend to love with the return of their interactive pop-up photo-booth, 'Awkward Christmas Portraits'.

There comes a time when you get too old for Santa photos – well, for some anyway. If you're too old to sit on Santa's lap, this is your chance to send an even worse photo to your family for the holiday season!

Awkward Christmas PicsAll throughout December, people with a little holiday spirit can head to Melbourne Central to slip on an insanely itchy, oversized Christmas sweater and go crazy with props, striking the most awkward poses and facial expressions you can think of; the perfect addition to family mantle pieces here, there and everywhere.

Santa photos are so yesterday, anyway.

'Awkward Christmas Portraits' take place at Melbourne Central Thursdays and Sundays from 1-20 December.
