All is right with the world as Adelaide Roller Derby (ADRD) returns for its 2020 season, and all we can say is – it's 'bout damn time.
Strap up your skates and hold on tight as the teams roll up to try and knock reigning champs Mile Die Club off their winner's perch after picking up the grand final trophy again in 2019.The first bout kicks off with the ultimate grudge match as 2019 runners-up Salty Dolls square off against the ladies of Mile Die Club in what is sure to be a classic derby tale of redemption, revenge and roller skates.
With colourful commentary from Little Commie B@stards and the expert eyes of referees Team Zebra doing their best to maintain law and order in a world gone mad, watching the teams face off is just a part of the ADRD experience.
Come support the Adelaide Roller Derby, which is a not-for-profit organisation that is owned and operated by skaters.
As a predominantly female-only, full-contact sport, the ADRD is Adelaide's oldest and largest roller derby league that continues to empower women and build a positive community.
Adelaide Roller Derby takes place at Adelaide Showground, with the first bout scheduled for 21 March (6pm).
