Mile Die Club will be taking on the Road Train Rollers for the 2018 Adelaide Roller Derby (ADRD) Grand Final in the first week of August.
After being runners up in the 2017 Grand Final, Mile Die Club have been undefeated throughout the 2018 season and are hungry to take home the championship. As well as the big game, the pre-game will see Wild Hearses and Salty Dolls bidding for third spot.
Starting in April, this year has been a big one for the ADRD teams, after hosting the Great Southern Slam in June which saw 48 teams from Australia and New Zealand come together for the world’s largest Roller Derby tournament. A special mention has to go to The Adeladies after coming fourth overall.
Alongside the big event, there will be live music from Haystacks Calhoon, the infamous commentating team The Little Commie Bastards, and the Roller Derby market, Bout Village, showcasing local creators, crafters and artists.
There’s also activities for the kids, with the opportunity to don the safety gear and get out on the track to have a skate.
