An emerging pop artist from Naarm/ Melbourne, Stilla's recent single 'Energy' celebrates the themes of self-love, romanticising your life and embracing the 'main character' mindset.
An invitation to take centre stage of your own story, 'Energy' was written by Stilla in 2022 who co-produced the song with Nathan Zammit before it was mixed by Hayden Lauerson (Tentendo, Sophiya, Boy Soda).A song reminding listeners of their self-worth and the importance of respecting boundaries to maintain high energetic vibrations, 'Energy' is an affirmation to manifest your best life.
"I loved that it was a lighthearted way of saying we all need to romanticise the f... out of our life to enjoy it in this day and age, where we are constantly comparing ourselves to a highlight reel on social media," Stilla says.
"Since the release of my last single 'Energy', I've had a lot of conversations about the inspiration behind the song and whether I actually live by this 'main character energy' idea.
"To me the idea is less about popularity and success (in the traditional sense), but more about how to get the most out of your day-to-day.
"We are all human and have days where we don't feel our best, and that's so fine, but I wanted to share how I avoid that and some tips to live your happiest, best life."
1: Curate A Killer Playlist
Pick a bunch of feel-good songs that boost your confidence and get you moving. Don't forget to add my latest single 'Energy'!2: Find Your Signature Style
Having a personal style has definitely helped me feel empowered and unique! When you feel good in what you wear/ your environment you are letting yourself thrive.3: Create Opportunities
I believe you need to set something in motion for things to start aligning, so put yourself out there. Whether it be a new relationship, job or any goal, don't wait for it to fall out of the sky.Start making moves to create those opportunities. Worst that can happen is you've had more experiences, and that screams main character energy anyway!
4: Set Those Boundaries
Boundaries show you respect yourself and your space. I've learnt they are super important to maintain high-energy levels and make you feel more in control of your life – i.e. you are the main character of your story and your needs matter.5: Romanticise The Little Things
If you live in the present there are plenty of little moments in everyday life that are special if you take the time to notice and enjoy it. This is something that inspires me creatively a lot.I hope you enjoyed these tips, let's chat on my socials if you have any of your own practices/ if you want to know more.
