As we barrel deep into the season of Christmas functions and end-of-year work parties, no doubt a fair few of you will be experiencing the unpleasant and nausea-inducing symptoms of drinking too many adult beverages the night prior.

Whether it's paracetamol, electrolyte-replenishing fluids, lazing in air-con, sunning yourself poolside, or ordering your body-weight in junk food (probably all of the above combined!), there are plenty of methods to get you back feeling brand new, while declaring you'll never guzzle another pint or throw-back another cocktail ever (till the next party comes along, of course!).

The festive season will also deliver a stack of single-day parties and music events leading into New Year's Eve and the new year, so hangovers lurk on almost every street corner.

Sydney EDM artist-DJ-producer Chase Zera will be spinning the tunes on New Year's Day when Field Day returns to The Domain in Sydney, joining a line-up that also features legendary British DJ Carl Cox teaming up with Welsh DJ/ producer Jamie Jones for unmissable solo and B2B sets.

The crowd will have the energy of rejuvenation and celebration running through their veins well into the evening, with the line-up also featuring Debroah De Luca, Kölsch, Patrick Topping, The Presets, Stum and much more.

Chase Zera has released a string of productions that have each racked up hundreds of thousands of streams on Spotify including 'Said I Would', 'Clovers', 'Bring Me Down', 'Saving Bugs' and 'Over Here'.

She has graced the stage at multiple music festivals and venues across Australia since bursting into the music scene in 2019, as well as supporting the likes of Bag Raiders, Hot Dub Time Machine, Hayden James, Touch Sensitive and KLP.

To help you recover from your next hangover, Chase shares her cheeky tips to avoid a death spiral into oblivion the next time you over-indulge the alcoholic consumption.

1: Beating a hangover starts before you go to bed, not when you wake up the next morning. Walk through the door and skull 2L of water like your life depends on it.

2: Wake up and don't put off having a long shower. Preferably scolding hot followed by a minute of icy cold.

3: A bacon and egg roll and an açai smoothie. Unbeatable combo. I know I'm hungover when the thought of having a coffee is unappealing to me.

4: If it's summer, jump in the ocean. If it's winter, do a sauna/ ice bath rotation. Both of these will leave you feeling on cloud nine.

5: Draw the blinds and lock into a Harry Potter movie marathon.

Field Day plays The Domain (Sydney) 1 January.
