Fusing Asian pop culture and the art of Cosplay, Neon Pop is back for the third consecutive year.
The all-ages, electrifying celebration will ignite on the first night of the BrisAsia Festival 2016. The festival, which seeks to foster stronger connections and collaborations between Brisbane and Asia, consolidates a three-week programme of events each February.
The Beer Legion will host Neon Pop for the third time. The Legion, established after a great night out in 2011, is a community for obligatory fun and shenanigans. The epic battles and sagas of the Legions have won several skit and Cosplay awards. So there's bound to be some humorous mischief abounding the event, as well as some colourful and creative costumes. So many characters to Cosplay, so little time and money! How can you possibly choose a favourite? This then leads to indecisiveness which then leads to.Last minute costume!

Sometimes we're our own worst critic. A small detail no one else would notice, you spend hours on fixing and re-fixing! PERFECTION OR NOTHING.Heat!
That adorable winter-themed Cosplay is obviously out of the question. This is Australia, where the weather is anti-Cosplay friendly and often Cosplays are decided on what time of year the con is held!Having Fun!
No matter how tired, hot, stressed or OCD you are about your costume, remember to have fun! Cosplay is about the celebration of your favourite character and series through emulation of costume and persona!
