A finalist in the International Songwriting Contest last year, Fieu (pronounced Fee-yu) has been working with Joel Quartermain (Meg Mac) to develop a new, creative direction.
“I feel I've really begun to fit into my style. I'm drawn to experimenting with sounds and stories... I've grown particularly fond of toying with the juxtaposition of deep, lyrical content with light-hearted pop synthesizers.”

1. Snoop Dogg’s real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.
Well, I obviously knew his parents wouldn’t have given him the birth name ‘Snoop’ but this is something I actually never questioned until recently.2. The melody of the 'Alphabet Song' is the SAME melody as 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Mind. Blown.3. Pine nuts actually come from pine cones.
Maybe this was just a dummy moment for me, but for some reason I had imagined pine nuts grew on small trees in little pods. Nope. They’re from pine cones, from pine trees. Go figure.4. There is a little arrow on the fuel gauge next the picture of the fuel bowser that tells you which side of the car your fuel tank is on.
All these years I’ve been stretching my head out of the car window to see the fuel cap!
5. Dolphins sleep with one eye open.
They shut down half of their brain at a time so they can still keep a look out for danger while they’re asleep! One of my besties is a marine biologist, so I am always learning crazy facts about the ocean and marine animals.Fieu plays as part of City Sounds at the Lower Queen Street Mall (outside of Wintergarden, Brisbane) 7 November (from noon).
