Ahead of the launch of their new, monthly night 'Sunday Roast', the Adelaide Big Band select their favourite roast meat cuts.
“We’ll be performing at the West Thebarton Hotel on the first Sunday of every month. In fact, the roast meat theme ties in well with the ‘Sunday Roast’ theme of our monthly gig,” says band leader, William Parton.

The band specialises in performing commercial jazz, swing and showbiz repertoire that appeals to the average punter, casual music fan and mainstream audience. It’s William’s contention that: “Unlike most other cities in Australia, Adelaide, up until now, hasn’t had an active big band that has been dedicated to primarily performing big band material that appeals to the average punter, casual music fan and mainstream audience… I reckon that we’ve got a huge hole in the market for it here!”

The band draws its musical roots from the likes of Count Basie, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, Quincy Jones, Phil Collins and the GRP All-Stars.
The Adelaide Big Band's 'Sunday Roast' night commences 5 June (4-7pm) at the West Thebarton Hotel, and runs first Sunday of the month.
