5 Predictions For The Near & Distant Future By K21

K21
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

A Hilltop Hoods Initiative Winner (back in 2008) along with multiple wins at the Ozhiphop Awards, K21 is not a name you need to introduce twice.

The Golden Era alumni will headline the July instalment of Sluglife. But before you grab you beanie and head north to see the wordsmith in action, K21 has gone Nostradamus on us with his Top 5 predictions for the near and distant future.

1. Chile will win the 2018 World Cup. Because I said so. Really though, I’m an expert every four years about this kinda stuff.

2. Donald Trump will clone himself and go to war, with himself. In 2030, Trump will have the technology to be able to clone and the person he will choose first will be himself. Both the original and cloned Trump will fire a ray blast and take themselves out of the game at the same time (like when you’re playing Overwatch).

3. In 2099 Uber will invent teleportation and release commercially via iPhone 79SE.4 (brain chip). Are you sick of waiting various minutes for an UberX or seeing the 'No Spacecrafts Available' message pop up on your inbuilt cerebral-cortex-sensory-chip-retina display? All of your dreams will come true with Uber's new invention. By the end of the century, Uber will invent an efficient service to instantly transport people to where they want to go within a matter of femtoseconds. Mints and water will not be provided on trips of such duration.

4. In 2166 you will be able to order a Salted Caramel Galactic Thickshake for $9,065 (current AUD) from IKEA, on Mars. It’ll contain 3,846 different types of preservatives that the planet Earth would’ve out-lawed, but our bodies will be a 78% titanium/ sapphire combination by then and will bypass any adverse effects.

5. A new K21 album called 'Any Given D-Day' is coming sooner than you think. Produced mainly by myself with the help of some special friends, guest verses include Remi, Golden Era artists and a few other surprises. The release date will be much, much sooner than my other predictions but they say it’s always smart to think ahead, right?

K21 headlines Sluglife at Slug N Lettuce (Adelaide) 22 July. He also plays The Warm Up as part of Umbrella: Winter City Sounds (Adelaide) with Trials, Plutonic Lab and others at Edinburgh Castle 23 July.
