A rising star of the R&B, Afrobeat scene the last half decade, Perth-based Zimbabwe-born artist Adrian Dzvuke (pronounced Zu-Kay) is beginning to create a ripple at a national level validated by his inclusion with Live Nation's Ones To Watch series this month.
Since emerging in the late '10s with a string of singles (including 'Needs', 'Confidence', 'Saturday' and 'One Time', Dzvuke has released two albums: 2021's 'Phone Me When You Lonely' and 2023's 'Don't Worry Bout It Sweetheart'.Alongside well-received collaborations with fellow Perth artists Supathick ('July') and Sharin Attammi ('OYA'), Adrian has also supported Coldplay (at their recent Perth concerts) as well as local legends Kevin Parker, POND, Spacey Jane and San Cisco.
Now Dzvuke will join Sydney-based British-Caribbean R&B artist Chanel Loren and indie pop artist Phebe Starr (whose music has been compared to Lykke Li) next week in Sydney for Live Nation's One To Watch (alumni include Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo and Halsey).
"We're thrilled to announce that Chanel Loren, Phebe Starr, and Adrian Dzvuke will be joining our upcoming Ones To Watch showcase in Sydney," Live Nation Australia's Paul Lynch says.
"We've been following these talented acts for some time now, so it's fantastic to have them become part of the OTW platform."
Live Nation's One To Watch takes place at Oxford Art Factory (Sydney) on 6 March.
