Hong Kong indie experimental rock group Virgin Vacation are known for their blend of post rock, math rock, krautrock, free jazz, and electronica.
Formed by visual artists, sound designers and theatre practitioners, Virgin Vacation have been a unique force in the Hong Kong indie scene since their inception in 2018.
Now they're bringing their 2024 debut album 'Dapple Patterns' to Australia this month, with two shows in Melbourne before they showcase twice at SXSW Sydney. 'Dapple Patterns' was nominated for Best Asian Creative Awards at 2024 Taiwan GIMA Awards.
To be joined by touring saxophonist Tomii Chan, this is the quartet's first full set performance in Australia, showcasing the album's blend of structured and free-form music.
