5 Amazing Moments From 1999

The Y2K bug was the biggest non-event of all time until Fyre Festival nearly 20 years later.

In 1999, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater video game soundtrack introduced millions of gamers to an entirely new world of music and completely flipped the gaming industry’s perspective on what a video game soundtrack could be.

The first few THPS games arguably shaped an entire generation’s taste in music, introducing them to bands such as Dead Kennedys, Motorhead and Bad Religion.

In fact, Motorhead claimed that the inclusion of 'Ace Of Spades' in THPS3 brought with it a younger fan base previously untapped by the band.

In celebration of nearly 20 years since the release of the original game and soundtrack, Crowbar Brisbane and Vinnies Dive on the Gold Coast are paying homage with live performances from local bands The Jensens and The PB’s playing your favourite tracks from the games.
