Celebrate Australia Day Festival this year at South Bank Parklands, Brisbane.

The festival will feature free live music performances from platinum-selling New Zealand based band, Evermore, Australian rock duo Busby Marou and local Brisbane indie-rock group Art of Sleeping, who have just released their debut EP Like a Theif.

The traditional Flag Raising Ceremony starts at 11.15am on the Cultural Forecourt and includes a 21-gun military salute and F/A-18F Super Hornet flypast from the Australian Defence Force, who will raise the Australian Queensland, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags.

Providing free entertainment throughout the day, including the Triple M Wife Carrying Competition and Network Ten talent, the celebrations will continue to the evening with live music, ending with a spectacular fireworks display over the Brisbane river.
