If you have a penchant for vintage styles, why not help support environment by getting involved in Australia's first Vintage Tee Day?
For almost 130 years, Salvos Stores has been helping the environment and the underprivileged by recycling and reselling donated items. This Friday March 22, Australia's largest charity recycler will host the inaugural Vintage Tee Day, an event that encourages people to sport a vintage or second hand t-shirt to support sustainable fashion.
Salvos Stores Chief Executive Officer, Allen Dewhirst, explains the importance of their cause: “We are extremely passionate about educating people on the importance of recycling and just how much their small involvement can help the environment. We want to encourage individuals to reduce their carbon footprint by buying second hand clothing. Our Vintage Tee Day is the perfect way to do this.”
Becoming involved is as easy as creating Vintage Tee Day based events at your workplace, school, university or any other appropriate location. If you are in want of a vintage or second hand t-shirt, head to your nearest Salvos Store and rifle through the large and impressive range of pre-loved clothes.
