This weekend Brisbane welcomes Spring Hill Alive.

A continuation of the Spring Hill Fair, which was first celebrated in 1973, Spring Hill Alive will take over Boundary Street, offering market stalls, live music, DJs, street dining and an open-air cinema at the Spring Hill Baths. With a bold, cultural celebration delivering something to excite everyone, your senses will be in overload.

One of the DJs performing will be Cutloose. The Brisbane-based DJ recently released his debut EP, ‘On Top’.

The playful turntablist with roots in hip hop, funk, electronica and soul, has selected his Top 5 Awkward Haircuts.

5. Bowl Cut. Only Jim Carrey, The Beatles and The Monkeys can rep this.

4. The Skrillex. If your not Skrillex, you’re always going to be refereed to as... Unless your name is Christy Mack.

3. The Sayer Perm. Unless you’re Leo Sayer, Richard Simmons or DJ Grozny.

2. The Receding Mullet. This is where the guy has a dominant, receding hairline but is trying to hang on to his party youth with a 12-inch mullet.

1. Rave Bleach. No matter were you go, people are going to be waiting for you to bust out a whistle and start a one-man rave.

Cutloose will be joined by Sampology (DJ set), Deejay Katch, Nikk-C, Hutchatronic, House Of Joy, Hertts and others at Spring Hill Alive on Saturday 4th October.
