It's no secret that Australians have a specific style. We usually think of short shorts, bright colours and thongs; but come winter in Oz, temperatures drop and so do the mini skirts. We trade in our next-to-nothing summer wear for clothing a little more weather appropriate.

The tie dye is a reminder of warmer days, while the ankle boots are not only fashionable but practical for keeping your toes toasty warm.

They keep your bum warm and make you look slick.
Scarves, scarves and more scarves
You can never have too many scarves. When in doubt, wear a scarf.
Black is the new… Black
Nothing says ‘badass’ better than an all black outfit and knee high leather boots.
Slouchy Beanie
The more slouch the beanie has the better. It's says: ‘What's up, I'm laidback enough to have this massive slouchy beanie on my head but I am also smart and my ears are warm’.
Sunnies
Just because it's winter doesn't mean you shouldn't wear your sunnies. Style doesn't stop at the height of the sun in the sky… If they weren't so expensive and breakable most of us would go to bed wearing them… It's not weird at all, it’s called being a rock star.
