See British photographer Amy Currell's surreal take on what suburban American women call "glamour". But be prepared to be surprised.
Working from her studio in east London, Amy specialises in still life photography and her quirky and irreverent approach to set design and distinctive use of colour and lighting has seen her create mesmerising shoots and concepts.
Her latest body of work Suburban Disguise features fake nails and trendy manicures together in compositions of fur and bondage implements like latex and tickle feathers. She says, "The surreal stylisation of these fantasies gives these images an unnerving stillness.” Is this where glamour is headed?
