In a move to encourage living in the moment and exploring the possibilities of technology and fashion, iconic eyewear company Ray-Ban has teamed up with social network Facebook for a new range of glasses.
Ray-Ban Stories are the next generation of smart glasses, allowing the wearer to capture their surroundings from their perspective. Each pair comes with dual 5MP cameras on the frames, able to capture 30 second bursts of video and instantly take photos.
Then, once you’ve finished, you can check out what you’ve captured on the companion Facebook View app, before posting to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Twitter, Tik Tok, Snapchat, and more. Or, you can just save your material to your camera roll.

There’s a handful of options when it comes to frames too – whether you’re a fan of the iconic Wayfarer, Round or Meteor look.
The built-in Bluetooth and microphone mean you can take calls, listen to music, and send text messages via the glasses too. Once you’ve spent hours snapping away, you can just pop the glasses into their charging case for another round.

“This is a milestone product that proves consumers don’t have to choose between technology and fashion - they can live in the moment and stay connected while wearing their favourite style of Ray-Bans,” EssilorLuxoticca Chief Wearables Officer Rocco Basilico says. “Our unique approach, combining decades of superior craftsmanship, a dedicated spirit of innovation and a commitment to delivering only cutting edge technology has resulted in a wearable that people will truly love wearing.”
Ray-Ban Stories are available on the Ray-Ban website and in Ray-Ban stores now. They land at select OPSM and Sunglass Hut stores from 13 September.
