MINI Paceman Store Pops Up

The MINI Paceman pop-up store will bring the best in international artists and designers to the streets of Melbourne from June 1.


The concept store, set to feature some of the world's edgiest and most renowned designers, will open in Melbourne's heart of fashion, Chapel Street. (Ostensibly, the store is promoting the MINI Paceman, the seventh model in the MINI family, which claims to represent "a new slant on style, a new slant on mobility, a new slant on MINI".)

Paceman 2The store will be open for six months. Much like a Daft Punk album, it will feature six all-star collaborators, who'll each be putting their own slant on things. Confirmed collaborators include:

Mark McNairy — An American-based fashion designer producing a beautifully crafted English and American inspired footwear range as the first component of his eponymous label.

Mark McNairy 1Mark McNairy 2Andrew Chen3sixteen — An American-based accessories and clothing designer focusing on premium materials and quality manufacturing.

Andrew Chen 1Andrew Chen 2Sigurd Larsen — A Berlin-based Danish architect whose furniture has been exhibited around the world, from Berlin to Helsinki and Shanghai.

Sigurd Larson 1Sigurd Larsen 2Alfredo Gonzales — Customised socks that make a statement, the Alfredo Gonzalez brand has developed a cult following for its unexpected designs and quirky detail.
