Mandurah Feels Sew Blue

Sew Blue
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

If you are in or around Mandurah on Friday September 27 and are feeling a little nautical, local organisation Sew Blue is holding its second annual fashion show at the stunning Mandurah Quay Resort.

The organisation, dedicated to preserving the memory of a dear friend and raising awareness about depression, will showcase up-and-coming WA designers and creatives.

The nautical themed event will feature two runway shows, one at 7.30pm and one at 9.30pm, and a static model exhibition showcasing collections from local fashion designers as well as a silent auction, with proceeds raised from the night going to Sew Blue’s charity partner, the Black Dog Institute. The Black Dog Institute financially supports research into the diagnosis and treatment of disorders such as depression and bipolar.

Forming part of the cultural program for the Perth Fashion Festival, the event promises a visual breath of fresh air for those of us who support both raising awareness for mental health and WA fashion.
