Set to open doors at 10am, Queen Street Mall was lined with excited girls (and a few boyfriends) from 7am onwards. Giggly, giddy and glamorous, they couldn't wait to get their hands on the fast and fabulous LA fashion.

At the media breakfast launch the ladies were treated to a platter of delicious foods put on by the newly opened Next Hotel (formerly Lennons), goodie boxes and a sneak preview inside the store. Photo's were snapped, friends were made and Instagram names were exchanged.

Upcoming model and name in fashion, Alli Simpson (sister of LA residing Gold Coast singer, Cody Simpson) flew in from LA to be at the opening. Dressed from head-to-toe in a bohemian inspired look from the 'Forever 21' racks, a mannequin wore her same look it was so sharp. Charming the crowd and elevating the excitement, Alli and Lisa Hyde – dressed in a simple white lace dress with her smile the brightest accessory – posed for pics and chatted happily with fans.

Along with the brand ambassadors for Australia's 'Forever 21' stores, founder and Global CEO of the retail chain, Don Chang, was joined by owners of Dubai stores to welcome customers in the doors.

With friendly staff who know a thing or two about fashion, the two-leveled  store is super easy to navigate. Sectioned off into styles (denim, basics ect) they stock women's, men's, plus size, swimwear, sleepwear, sportswear and a huge range of accessories for very reasonable prices ($4.80 for classic camisoles!). The staff are also more than happy to provide advice and even walk around with you as a personal stylist.

Customers were greeted with giant smiles, pumping music and racks upon racks of fashion-forward clothes and accessories. With summer fast approaching, the swimsuit section was crowded with girls snapping up the floral and fluro prints along with felt hats, beach bags, and singlet and shorts combos.

Director of real estate and business development for 'Forever 21', Jatin Malhotra says they have been searching for suitable street front retail space for five years. With Pitt Street in Sydney being their number one choice, Queen Street came along and the Brisbane market was strong enough, so they took it.

With 710 stores globally, another 40 are opening around the world in the next few months (1 of them in Sydney, but hopefully there will be more around Australia).
