It seems like an unlikely partnership, but the joining of Aussie musician G Flip with polarising shoe brand Crocs has happened before, and now it’s happening again!
The first iteration of the shoes sold out in less than an hour, so fans who missed out the first time around will get a second chance to get their hands on a pair.
This new drop features a white Classic Clog covered in G Flip’s ‘Jerome’ logo, and rocks a double strap, making it sporty, supportive and comfortable. The Jibbitz charms adorning each pair were designed to represent little pieces of G Flip’s life. There’s a rainbow, referencing the LGBTQIA+ community, a crown representing the single ‘Queen’, ‘Party?’ which is their favourite tattoo, Denise the sassy llama, and the logo of their single ‘Hyperfine’.
“Crocs and I have had an incredible journey together so far and now it continues with another G Flip x Crocs collaboration,” G Flip says. “I’ve had this design in my head ever since I started wearing Crocs so it's a dream come true to see it in real life. They're comfy, they're easy on the eyes and they make dreams come true; especially mine.”
Watch out for G Flip live on the Platypus Instagram account, @platypus_sneakers to celebrate the launch, tonight (15 September) at 6pm AEST. They’ll be answering questions and playing some songs.
The collaboration goes live online and in Platypus/Crocs stores today (15 September).
