L'Wren Scott — fashion designer and longtime girlfriend of Mick Jagger — has been found dead in her New York apartment.
The US designer is believed to have taken her own life, but no note has been found at the scene. Her body was found by her assistant (Scott had texted her assistant and ask that she come over to her apartment).
Scott was a favourite of Hollywood's A-List — Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon and Penelope Cruz have all worn her creations on the red carpet. Her most loyal customer was Nicole Kidman, who most recently wore a sequinned Scott gown to the 2013 Oscars.
"Nicole and L'Wren were close friends for 25 years," a Kidman representative told Rumorfix.com. "Nicole is heartbroken and in shock right now and unable to say anything."
Mick Jagger arrived in Australia with Rolling Stones bandmates Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts yesterday morning to begin their Australian tour; it's not yet known how the death of Jagger's longtime partner will affect the tour.
Scott recently cancelled her London Fashion Week show due to production delays.
