Adelaide Fashion Festival returns for five days of stylish runways and events.
The programme will showcase Adelaide’s own fashion labels and international designers, with particular focus on the collaboration with South Australia’s Chinese Sister State Shandong, and Sister City Qingdao. Audiences can expect works from fashion labels such as C/MEO Collective, Finders, Keepsake, Jaggar Footwear, The Fifth Label, and Acler to name a few.
The first two days of the festival will feature runway shows in Victoria Square that will include ‘BNKR’ and ‘Contemporary Women’s Fashion’, a lunch with the CEO of The Messenger Group and founder of Collective Hub Lisa Messenger, as well as a ‘Connecting China Workshop’ that will provide knowledge of how to launch into the Chinese fashion market.
Friday’s proceedings will include three runway events; ‘New Classics’, ‘Couture Culture’, and ‘Ready to Wear’. A designer market will also be taking place that will showcase Adelaide’s diverse fashion industry, and will provide attendees with the opportunity to shop exclusive brands and meet the artisans behind them.
The hugely popular ‘Variety On King William’ lunch will be returning, which will present King William Road retailer’s spring and summer wear while treating guests to a three-course Chinese-influenced meal. ‘Fashion Insiders Breakfast’ aims to give guests an inside look into the world of fashion with high profile designers including Alyce Tran, Tania Debono and Patrick Johnson. Patrick will also be hosting a lunch on the day where he will share his knowledge and experience of his tailoring, suits, and men’s fashion.
On Saturday morning, Rundle Street will host a one-day sale event that will have exclusive offers from its retail stores. The Marina, situated in Glenelg, will host the ‘Pari Runway Marina Pier’ Event, while the ‘Street and Skate Runway’ will take place later in the afternoon.
In the evening, the Art Gallery of South Australia will host ‘A Night Of Fashion At The Art Gallery’, which aims to bring Adelaide’s fashion and art communities together.
For the final day of the Adelaide Fashion Festival, Norwood Parade will have the chance to showcase the latest trends from the many fashion retailers along The Parade, and provide everyone with a relaxed, fun day out. The final two runway events will then be presented by Couture label Paolo Sebastian.
The programme will also feature music, premier food and wine, and photography among Adelaide’s most stylish venues.
