5 Classic Rock Hairstyles

It’s a long way to the top, the big top, and these guys are livin’ on a prayer for nothin’ but a good time.

Imagine the greatest rock band ever, as a circus. 'Pants Down Circus ROCK' is a foursome group of rock stars that’ll shake you all night long. A high-voltage, circus extravaganza set to a pumping rock soundtrack with trapeze, acrobatics, juggling and hula hoops. Clowns to the left and jokers to the right, whether you like death-defying stunts, displays of strength or silly clowning, there's plenty of soul and old time rock & roll.

PantsDownCircus3Strong woman, Hannah Cryle, has spent a lot of time as a roadie for her dad's band. So she's seen her fair share of rockin' hairstyles, here are just 5:

Big Quiff

The BIG quiff

I love this hairstyle because it makes you look like a cartoon character. To me, rock stars are just cartoon characters for adults.

Big Top Crazy Back

Big on top, crazy at the back

This is a great way to fake a mohawk because you don't have to cut your hair off to do it. You can look as tough and rocker chic as you like and still be in your sisters wedding photos. It's a fohawk.

Mohawk

Mohawk

It's a classic for a reason.

Teased Up

All teased up

This is another way to make your hair look bigger than it is. All the best rock stars are larger than life, this hair is like a cartoon explosion. I love it. Just make sure you have a soft bristled brush to brush it out, trust me on that.

Bleached

Bleached with regrowth

This is a look that a lot of people really don't like. The reason I like it as rock hair is because it highlights the most important difference between rock stars and cartoon characters. Rock stars are rough around the edges, they are smudged eyeliner and husky voices. It's a side effect of living a party life 24/7 and it's why we think they're so cool, but would never want to be them.

'Pants Down Circus Rock' performs the Judith Wright Centre 1 July.
