‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ is soon to open at Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane.


The Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber rock musical has already been met with standing ovations, rave reviews and stars all round for its seasons in Sydney, Perth, and Melbourne.

‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary series of events during the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ, as seen through the eyes of Judas. Reflecting the rock roots that defined a generation, the legendary score includes ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’, ‘Gethsemane’ and ‘Superstar’.

The show stars international recording artist Michael Paynter in thr title role, plus Javon King, Mahalia Barnes, and talented Queensland performers Peter Murphy, Elliot Baker, Graeme Isaako, Ethan Jones, Nic van Lits and Bree Tipoki.
