They've wowed audiences with 'Can't Face' and 'Neon'. . . Now, Circus Trick Tease present 'Werk It', playing Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
'Werk It' shamelessly celebrates spandex, high-vis, vitality and vigor – featuring big tricks, hip thrusts, hula-hoops and more, all brought to you by a dedicated, passionate team of performers ready to deliver plenty of sass and swagger.
It's an acrobatic comedy romp made up of equal parts skill, thrill and comedy, performed by a cast including Vincent van Berkel, Lisa Lottie, Richard Sullivan, Cassia Jamieson and Malia Walsh.
Ahead of their shows at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the team at 'Werk It' list five of their go-to Melbourne spots.

One
We love a martini at Cabinet, it’s the the best hang after a show at the Comedy Festival, balcony for warm nights and quiet corners for a pash. It’s a great place to meet other artists as well, a great hang after a show with our great performer friends, new and old.Two
We work out at Circus Nexus, where there are trapezes and trampolines to get your sweat on, it’s a great share space set up for all our acrobatic needs, there are always a lot of other performers training and rehearsing for other shows, so always a great vibe in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Three
Cake With The Cupcake Queens is essential for a reward after 420 sit-ups. As circus performers we go through hardcore workouts daily, especially on a two-show day, so a good sugar hit is essential for us, so we love to order in a box of 12 to any season we are doing, where we get to design all the flavours we want, the cappuccino cupcake a personal favourite.Four
We love dancing and can be found club hopping down Smith Street after our show. We love bass and beats with a '90s call back. We especially love when Hot Dub Time Machine is in town, playing all our favourite hits. Hot Dub plays songs in 'strict' chronological order, mixing and mashing visuals and audio live from vinyl turntables. It’s every song you love presented in a whole new way. It’s the Best. Party. Ever!
Five
When we aren’t working out we adore a lazy brunch at Alimentary with the best Bloody Marys in town! They just might have some left-over cupcakes in the window by the time we get up after a late show and head over as well.'Werk It' plays Forum Melbourne (Melbourne International Comedy Festival) 14-17 and 21-24 April.
