Sydney Comedy Festival is gearing up for its 21st birthday in early 2026, and what better way to kick off the celebrations than with a sneak peek at what’s to come in next year’s event?
Well, that’s exactly what they’re giving punters.
In 2026, audiences can expect to see the return of international and local comedic juggernauts, including stand-up king, Scottish superstar Daniel Sloss. . . Deadpan funny man Luke Heggie. . . Fearless Scottish comedian and BBC star Connor Burns. . . And ‘Yorkshire’s Biggest Bastard’, Joe Kent-Walters.
Plus, the hilarious whodunnit play 'CLUEDO' takes to the stage, based on the 1985 film 'Clue' and inspired by the classic Hasbro game.
Along with this first round of acts, comedy lovers can expect the return of the Sydney Comedy Festival Gala events at the Sydney Opera House, The Concourse Concert Hall, the Enmore Theatre, the Joan Sutherland Concert Hall, and the Pavilion Performing Arts Centre Sutherland.
These Gala events feature a blockbuster roster of international icons, homegrown talent, and the next big things in the business.
“After a knockout 2025, which saw the festival present its biggest year to date on its 20th anniversary, we are back and ready to gear up for our 21st birthday!” Sydney Comedy Festival General Manager James Declase says. “This year will see some of the world’s best comedians take to stages in every corner of the city. And if that wasn't enough, we’re adding in a whole extra week of laughs, including a jam-packed week of kids entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.”
Sydney Comedy Festival 2026 is on from 13 April-17 May.
